 Today, IMI is globally recognised as a pioneer of open innovation and an attractive model for successful PPPs in research. A true partnering machine, we forge collaborations that bring together stakeholders including universities, large pharmaceutical companies, SMEs, patient groups, and medicine regulators, as well as companies in other health-related sectors, such as diagnostics, imaging, and IT.In this context we have decided to showcase IMI’s impact in specific areas, starting with three topics: diabetes, dementia and the relatively new field of data management. We will analyse the challenges and show how IMI-funded projects helped move the needle.
We are organising online live sessions where key actors representing each of the three areas will explore the key challenges and demonstrate how IMI contributed to progress in them. During these sessions, we will also share patients’ testimonies, as they are the ultimate beneficiaries of IMI’s funded research. Furthermore, we hope to engage IMI stakeholders in a broader discussion on IMI’s impact and ask them for their active participation in these live events.
