“Masterclass” Scaling Innovations Emerging from Public-Private Partnerships
Start Date 26/10/2021About this event
What
This is an online mini masterclass for anyone who wants to maximise the impact of their research project beyond the project timeline. It will offer practical advice on how to design and implement a sustainable strategy to scale up the results delivered by IMI and, in the future, by IHI.
Why
IMI has delivered powerful solutions and assets that have the potential to transform the healthcare industry and improve patient outcomes, and deployment of those results in research, regulatory and medical practice beyond the context of EU-funded projects needs to be properly planned and resourced to achieve the desired impact.
The experiences of several IMI digital health projects have been collected in a field manual that contains guidance on how to deploy results from projects, and these case studies will be used to illustrate the use of the manual to systematically and strategically scale up different types of results.
This transition to scale often falls outside of the project timelines or objectives, but the project design and stakeholders engagement during the project term will determine the success of future deployment and scale. One size does not fit all: the 'pathway to scale' depends on the type of result, whether it be standards, infrastructures, or knowledge.
Who
This event is for anyone in charge of planning and implementing research and sustainability strategies in public-private consortia, and those who want to optimise the impact of their projects.
