IMI Stakeholder Forum
The IMI Stakeholder Forum is an annual event which brings together the entire health and medicines research and development (R&D) community. The event gathers IMI stakeholders and provides them with a unique opportunity to stay up-to-date with, and provide feedback on, IMI’s latest developments and upcoming opportunities.
The IMI Stakeholder Forum is officially recognised as part of IMI’s governance structure in the Council Regulations establishing IMI1 and IMI2. Together with the IMI Scientific Committee and the States Representatives Group, this event therefore holds an official advisory function to IMI.
The IMI Stakeholder Forum is convened by the Executive Director and is open to all public and private stakeholders, and international interest groups from Member States and countries associated with the EU research programmes and beyond. Its goal is to ensure openness and transparency of IMI’s research activities.
Previous keynote speakers of the IMI Stakeholder Forum included:
- Richard Frackowiak, CHUV University Hospital, Switzerland
- Anders Kristensen, young diabetes patient, Denmark
- Ole Isacson, Harvard Medical School, Center for Neuroregeneration Research at McLean Hospital, USA
- Raju Kucherlapati, Harvard Medical School, USA
- Rolf Zinkernagel, 1996 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine, University Hospital Zürich, Switzerland
We strongly encourage all stakeholders in health and medicines R&D to join the IMI Stakeholder Forum: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); patient representatives and regulators; representatives of the academic and research community, the pharmaceutical industry and other sectors in healthcare; as well as representatives of other public-private partnerships and research-funding organisations.
If you would like to share any feedback on the IMI Stakeholder Forum, expectations for future editions or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
