Intellectual Property Policy

The IMI Intellectual Property (IP) Policy governs the IP regime of all projects funded by the IMI JU.  To assist with specific IP queries, IMI has set up a dedicated IP Helpdesk which can be contacted by e-mailing IMI-IP-Helpdesk[AT]imi.europa.eu

A working group with IP experts and representatives of the IMI Founding members and of the Member States has been set up at the request of the IMI JU Governing Board. The aim is to exchange views on the IMI IP policy and coordinate a targeted dialogue between interested parties. In this context, the IP expert working group had a meeting, and an IP Clarification Note was produced. The IP expert working group will be further engaged in a reflection on some identified IP policy items. The experience of the project agreement negotiations of the 1st call will be taken into account.

As first mentioned in the first edition of the IMI Newsletter in September 2010, there is now an extensive set of IP Guidance Notes to accompany the other IP documents.
