IMI held webinars on topics of its 1st Call for proposals under IMI 2, as well as its new rules and procedures and intellectual property rights (IPR) in July 2014. Due to popular demand, IMI will also hold a second webinar on its new rules and procedures on Wednesday 3 September. Registration for this webinar is now closed as the event is oversubscribed.

All webinars on the Call topics featured a presentation by the EFPIA topic coordinator, as well as time for questions and answers. The webinars therefore represented an excellent opportunity to learn more about the topics, interact directly with the topic coordinators, and get in touch with potential project partners.

The webinar on IMI’s new rules and procedures also included presentations of IMI's intellectual property policy and tips on the preparation of a proposal.

Registration is free but obligatory. To sign up, please click on the relevant registration link below.
As places are limited, early registration is recommended.

Technical requirements to attend the webinars

You can join the IMI webinars from your computer using the GoToWebinar software. You will be able to follow the presentation and interact with the webinar organisers via the GoToWebinar control panel on your computer screen. You will also be able to listen to the webinar audio and to contribute with questions and remarks by joining the webinar through a phone line, or using VOIP.

On the day, please join the webinar a few minutes before the start time. This will give you time to download the GoToWebinar software and test your audio. Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the link in the confirmation or reminder e-mail. The download of the GoToWebinar software will start. After GoToWebinar opens, the webinar window will appear.
  2. Connect to audio by either using VOIP or a telephone line:

VOIP - By default, your computer will connect you to audio by using your computer speakers (or headset) and microphone. This option is referred to as VOIP. If you wish to use VOIP, please note that a headset is recommended, as computer speakers may create echo. If you are using VOIP, please do the ‘soundcheck’ by clicking on the soundcheck button of the webinar window before the webinar starts. If you do not do a sound check, you may not be able to hear speakers, or you may not be heard while speaking. (see below)

Telephone line - You can also join the audio by dialling in using a landline or mobile phone. In order to do so, please tick the box for the ‘telephone’ option in the audio panel of the webinar window. GoToWebinar automatically generates a phone number you can use to dial in according to your location. Depending on your country, this could be a toll-free number, or a local landline number. This option is recommended for those participants who feel more comfortable using a telephone line or who do not have a headset and microphone. If GoToWebinar does not provide toll-free or local landline numbers for your country, we recommend you connect to audio via VOIP.

For detailed technical instructions on how to register and join the webinar on the day, please download the technical instructions for webinar participants .
